NATIONAL SCIENCE DAY CELEBRATION AT DPS MIHAN
National Science Day is celebrated in the honours of Sir C.V. Raman for his legacy, who discovered 'Raman Effect' on 28th February 1928 for which he was awarded the Nobel Prize in 1930. Therefore, this day was dedicated as National Science Day from 1999.
Unlike other theme, this year it holds a motto- “Integrated approach in Science and Technology for sustainable future” which depicts a wide range of impacts on education, skills and work. Innovation is the ability to see change as an opportunity. In this current scenario where the entire globe is facing a challenge on sustainability, young minds are finding new ways for the globe to have a peaceful future by innovations.
Keeping this in mind, DPS Mihan organised a science exhibition where students from Grade III to IX came up with some very innovative working models which were a treat to watch. Models like-Waste water treatment, Vacuum Cleaner, Conveyer belt, Water Turbine, Hydroponics, Lead and Jar capacitor, Hydraulics, Automatic Scissors were some innovative captures.
Participants from grade III and IV stole the show by being so confident in explaining their working models. The science exhibition was a remarkable endeavour by our school.
