DPS MIHAN hosts Literary Odyssey celebrating the art of Language and Expression

The Department of English at DPS MIHAN, #Nagpur proudly organized its Annual Literary Odyssey – A Feast for the Mind on 4th September,2025 celebrating the richness of literature, creativity, and expression. The day unfolded with a series of vibrant competitions – poetry recitation, art presentation, literary quiz, monologue, and a special “Moods & Expressions” segment for teachers. Students showcased remarkable talent, originality, and confidence, making it a true festival of words and ideas.
The Valedictory Ceremony was graced by Ms. Asawari Shenolikar, Deputy Editor of The Hitavada, who spoke on the timeless relevance of literature in nurturing imagination and shaping society. The event was also attended by Mr. Sachin Jahagirdar, Ms. Sraboni Dasgupta, and Ms. Asawari Deshpande, who applauded the initiative.
President & Pro Vice Chairperson Ms. Tulika Kedia, Director Ms. Savita Jaiswal, and Principal Ms. Nidhi Yadav extended their appreciation and congratulated the participants for their enthusiastic involvement.
The highlight of the event was the Literary Quiz, conducted by Mr. Padmanabhan Pillai and Mr. Aniruddha Moraka, which captivated both participants and audience alike. The festival also featured a mesmerizing dance performance, adding cultural vibrance to the literary spirit. The winners were felicitated with certificates and trophies, along with the Overall Trophy for their outstanding performances. The event concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks by Anika Ashtankar, expressing gratitude to the dignitaries, guests, participants, and organizers who made Literary Odyssey 2024 a grand success.
