A Tribute to Freedom
DPS MIHAN, #Nagpur celebrated the 78th #Independence Day with a series of vibrant and heartfelt events, each reflecting the essence of patriotism in a unique way. The day began with an inspiring program featuring flag hoisting and the National Anthem, followed by a series of cultural presentations including a Hindi poem, classical dance, and patriotic songs.
Our esteemed Chief Guest, Dr. Hemant Bherwani, a Senior Scientist at CSIR-NEERI, Nagpur, and a national expert in Environmental Economics, graced the occasion. The speeches from the Principal, Ms. Nidhi Yadav, and the Chief Guest, Dr. Hemant Bherwani, resonated with the spirit of independence, motivating everyone present.
A special assembly that focused on the theme 'Being Self-Sufficient - Make in #India Initiatives for #Atmanirbhar Bharat' highlighted the importance of self-reliance and the nation's strides toward becoming a global leader in innovation and production.
Students also embraced the spirit of freedom with impressive assemblies, showcasing their patriotism through performances that reflected the values of unity and freedom. The younger students brought history to life with an engaging skit portraying key figures from India's struggle for independence, such as Mahatma Gandhi, Subhash Chandra Bose, and Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru. Their enthusiastic rally through the campus, waving the tricolor and chanting slogans, filled the school with patriotic fervor. Art and craft activities were also part of the celebrations, where students created Independence Day-themed artworks that promoted the message of Swadeshi and a stronger India.
